HOPE IN ACTION: Domestic Violence Awareness Month
On this month’s episode of Hope in Action with Sheri Jones, we turn the focus to Domestic Violence Awareness.
In our first segment, Sheri sits down with Kristin Millerov of End Violent Encounters (EVE). They discuss how EVE supports victims of domestic violence in a multitude of ways and connect them with helpful resources.
Then, our friends at LAFCU talk with Tanisha Ash-Shakour, whose organization Voices of Color was born out of her own personal experiences as a survivor to help others, turning her pain into purpose.
Lastly, WNBA All-Star and 2x Olympic Gold Medal Champion Ruthie Bolton stops by to talk with Sheri about using her platform as an athlete to lift up fellow survivors of domestic violence.
Also, this month’s community calendar highlights several fundraising charities as we kickoff fundraising season for local non-profits.
🎙️ And don’t miss this month’s episode of our companion podcast as Sheri talks more in-depth with Ruthie Bolton on her time as an athlete at the peak of her playing career while battling her inner turmoil as a domestic violence survivor.
A special thank you to our visionary sponsor, LAFCU, for their continued partnership.
